The Challenge: Expanding Visibility
Traditional fixed-view cameras can leave areas outside their field of view unmonitored. Covering a large production floor, warehouse, retail space, or facility may require multiple cameras and separate monitoring interfaces.
GVision’s panoramic AI cameras take a different approach by providing expansive visual coverage from a single camera.
The 360° model provides 360° horizontal and 180° vertical coverage, while GVision’s 720° solution is designed to provide panoramic coverage for applications requiring an even broader field of view.
The Solution: GVision + Peakboard
The third-party evaluation demonstrated two key integration points between GVision cameras and Peakboard:
RTSP for Live Video
The GVision panoramic video stream was brought directly into a Peakboard video control using RTSP, allowing the live camera view to be displayed as part of an interactive dashboard.
ONVIF for Camera Control
The evaluation also demonstrated ONVIF-based communication between Peakboard and the GVision camera. This allowed camera imaging settings to be adjusted directly from the Peakboard interface, including switching between day and night profiles.
